The Real Estate Intelligence Shift is a practical guide for the people who own, operate, lend against, and invest in real assets: how AI changes the way real estate firms run, which assets it puts at risk or in demand, and the triggers that tell you when to act.

Book synopsis

AI is changing real estate in two ways that compound. The first is how real estate companies operate: a firm that can underwrite, build, and manage with far less labor and far more speed takes the deal, and the gap hardens into a moat. The second is slower and larger: AI changes which jobs exist, where people work, and how much space it all requires. When those patterns shift, the demand under a building shifts with them.

The book does not predict dates. It tracks triggers: observable signals that an asset is moving from one category to another before the market has priced it in.

By the last chapter, you should be able to:

01

Classify every asset you hold by its real exposure: obsolete, distressed, stable, or growth

02

Read the triggers in your own markets before they show up in pricing

03

Run conservative, base, and aggressive scenarios on any building you own

04

Evaluate AI vendors with a framework instead of a demo impression

05

Lead your team through adoption with bounded, measurable experiments

Why Stackpoint wrote this book

Stackpoint is a venture studio that builds AI companies with and for the people who run real assets. Our vantage point is the seam between two industries that rarely understand each other: real estate and AI. We have spent our careers on both sides of it, and over the last three years we have started eight AI companies for the built world, each one beginning with an operator living a specific, expensive workflow problem the market wasn’t solving.

The loudest voices frame AI as destruction to brace against. What we see is a repricing of advantage, and repricings reward the people who move first. We wrote this book to give operators and investors the working knowledge to be those people. If reading it surfaces a problem in your business that no product solves well, we want to hear about it: the next company we start may begin as a conversation with you.
